New funding round for participatory cultural projects and announcement of the 13th Sociocultural Innovation Award
The largest funding program of the Fonds Soziokultur is entering the next round. Applications for general project funding can be submitted from April 2 to May 2, 2026.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for the best project ideas, bold approaches and innovative methods. Funding is provided for temporary projects that actively involve local people in their conception and implementation and address a socio-political or social issue using cultural means. Projects that try something new – a current topic, an innovative format, a new target group or unusual locations – and are exemplary for socio-cultural work.
HOW WE PROMOTE
→ min. 5,000 to max. 30,000 euros funding, max. 80 percent of the total budget
→ Eligible to apply: Primarily independent sponsors such as associations, initiatives (at least 3 people resident in Germany), GbR, GmbH, UG and private foundations. Individuals are not eligible to apply.
→ Project duration up to 2 years, project start from mid-July 2026 at the earliest
