Since summer 2019, the association Forum Gestaltung e. V. has been responsible for the further programmatic development and management of the entire quarter of the former Magdeburg School of Arts and Crafts. The building complex has around 8,000 square meters of enclosed space and an inner courtyard. In addition to promoting art and culture, the aim from the outset was to create a synergetic combination of cultural and commercial uses for the building complex. Today, over thirty players from the broad field of culture and the creative industries have found their place in Forum Gestaltung. And the development of the building continues. The broad portfolio of different fields of activity ranges from the archive of estates, design, architecture, art, photography, film and cultural education to theater and festival culture. The Forum Gestaltung thus offers a wide range of opportunities for a wide variety of intersecting and inspiring activities.
Our current aim is to expand our tenant profile and offer our premises to artists from the region in particular. Several studio spaces between 25 and 60 square meters are available within the former art school in the heart of Magdeburg’s city centre at fair conditions and with the express possibility of further collaborations.
