At the end of April 2026, the BBK Saxony-Anhalt welcomed 13 new members. Artists from different generations, genres and regions presented themselves in the improvised exhibition space next to the BBK office. Artists from the Harz region (Wernigerode), the district of Stendal (Bismark, Werben), Magdeburg, Dessau-Roßlau, Halle (Saale) and Zeitz came to Halle’s old town to present their work. It was a great exchange about current trends in the visual arts and about the profession of artist.

We would like to thank the Halle Housing Association (HWG) for providing the rooms and the Association of Migrant Organizations (VeMo) for the furniture rental. We would also like to thank the honorary admission committee – consisting of board members Christoph Ackermann, Marion Münzberg and Friederike Nottrott as well as BBK members Charlotte Ehrt and Daniela Schönemann – and the members already admitted to 2025, Werner Amadeus, Laura Baginski and Kenny Rüdiger, who also introduced themselves.
