BBKarium Wernigerode
In 2026, the BBKarium Wernigerode will be part of the “BBKarium Saxony-Anhalt” project, which includes five locations in Dessau-Roßlau, Halle (Saale), Magdeburg, Wernigerode, and Lutherstadt Wittenberg. BBK members from the Harz foothills and the organizing team of “BBKarium Saxony-Anhalt” revisited a long-standing offer from the mayor of Wernigerode and inquired about vacant storefronts in the city center. This led to the opening of the fifth BBKarien location in July 2026.

In 2026, the project will be funded by the Saxony-Anhalt State Art Foundation and LOTTO Toto Saxony-Anhalt. The project is organized by the Kulturwerk des BBK Sachsen-Anhalt e.V.
