We cordially invite you! On September 1, 2026, starting at 4:00 p.m., we will officially launch the “BBKarium Saxony-Anhalt” project—with a project presentation, an overview of all locations, and the people behind it. How can art from the region be brought into public spaces, and what opportunities does the BBKarium network offer artists, urban communities, and partners?
At 5:00 p.m., we’ll be opening a new exhibition at the BBKarium Halle featuring works by Rebecca Hilser. Afterward, we invite all guests to the BBK Saxony-Anhalt summer reception—with food, drinks, and good conversation. We look forward to seeing you there!

What are BBKarien?
BBKarien are exhibition spaces in public areas—vibrant and visible to everyone. Through rotating exhibitions, members of the Professional Association of Visual Artists of Saxony-Anhalt present their works right where people pass by every day. The BBKarien in Halle (Saale), Dessau-Roßlau, Wernigerode, Magdeburg, and Lutherstadt Wittenberg together form a growing network that makes contemporary art in Saxony-Anhalt accessible to new audiences.
The window displays are open 24/7.
The project is funded in 2026 by the Saxony-Anhalt State Art Foundation and Lotto Saxony-Anhalt.
