Ondine Frochaux

Ondine Frochaux, born in Lausanne in French-speaking Switzerland, studied painting in Otto Möhwald’s class at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle. In her artistic work, she deals with the phenomenon of beauty and the question of how beauty is perceived and experienced. For her, it is both astonishing and wonderful that beauty exists at all and can be perceived by people. She sees art as a way of making this experience visible. A particular focus of her work is on figures from Greek mythology. These serve as a mirror of inner states and human contradictions. The irrational and often tragic journeys of mythological figures tell of conflicts that remain relevant to this day. The exhibition at the BBK Schaufenster invites visitors to explore questions of beauty, myth, and human experience.
