The BBK Saxony-Anhalt has had the “Region in Focus” format since 2022. The Executive Board launched the format with the aim of enabling equal participation for all members throughout Saxony-Anhalt. The city of Dessau-Roßlau kicked things off in 2022, followed by the state capital Magdeburg (2023), the Harz region (2024) and the Altmark (2025). It was actually supposed to be Wittenberg’s turn in 2026.
However, a lack of funding is currently preventing us from continuing this format in 2026. This is because, in addition to the time required for this, travel costs are also necessary in order to network sufficiently.
But postponed is not canceled. And so we are planning Wittenberg for the year 2027. The exhibition “generell frisch” (generally fresh) in the Old Town Hall, which will extend from fall 2026 into the new year 2027, will be the kick-off – provided we can raise the necessary funds through our fundraising campaign.
In 2028, it will be the Burgenland district’s turn according to the board’s resolution…
