The design competition will be held as a restricted competition with a preliminary open application procedure for artists, architects, landscape architects and consortia from the disciplines of art, architecture and landscape architecture in accordance with the Public Procurement Ordinance (VgV) § 69 ff and based on the Guidelines for Planning Competitions 2013 (RPW 2013).
The subject of the competition is the design of a central memorial to commemorate and remember the victims of the communist dictatorship in Germany in Spreebogenpark in Berlin-Mitte. The aim of the competition is to obtain a convincing design for the memorial, which will serve as the basis for further planning and realization.
In the preceding open application procedure, up to 25 applicants or applicant consortia will be selected for participation.
