All filmmakers, artists, distributors, producers, gallery owners, universities and institutions are now invited to submit current works and projects for the 43rd Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival.
The entire film program and the works in the Monitoring exhibition will be selected from all submissions. All installations in the Monitoring exhibition compete for the Golden Cube. Films from the program will be nominated for the other festival prizes by the screening commissions. In addition, we invite the filmmakers and artists represented in the program to discuss their work in Kassel. We do not charge a submission fee and pay a rental fee for films in the regular program.
The Kassel Dokfest will take place in hybrid form. The film program will be presented on site from November 17-22 and online on our VoD platform until November 29. The online film offer will be geo-blocked, with a limited number of accesses, time-limited and copy-protected. The filmmakers are free to decide against an online presentation.
WHAT CAN BE SUBMITTED?
We are looking for current artistic experimental and/or documentary films as well as hybrid forms of documentary and installation concepts from the years 2025 and 2026. There are no restrictions on length.
HOW AND WHERE TO SUBMIT?
Works can only be submitted online with an unlimited streaming link.
