The MIXED UP Kick-Off funding is intended to initiate new ways of working together in cultural education. The funding is just right for committed stakeholders from schools, daycare centers, all-day programs and extracurricular cultural education who have not yet worked together strategically – and now want to do so together.
The focus is not on the finished project or the cultural education work itself, but on the joint process: ideas are sought for the development of a viable model concept for cooperation within one year. Particular attention is paid to effective, sustainable cooperation as well as exchange and networking.
The funding includes 5,000 euros to implement the model concept, a needs-oriented workshop to further develop the cooperation on site and accompanying support during implementation in 2027.
Participation
The start date for entries is May 15, 2026 and the closing date for applications is July 31, 2026. Applications must be submitted via an online form. The award ceremony for the MIXED UP Prize will take place on November 6, 2026 in Berlin. The model concepts selected for the kick-off funding will also be presented there.
