Art will continue to sweeten life in Schwarzenberg in 2025. The 11th Schwarzenberg Art Prize art-figura 2025 will be awarded with the theme “Wood and Stone”. from 30.08. to 02.11.2025 has been announced. National and international artists have until 15.03.2025 to submit a competition entry in the form of a sculpture that deals with the theme of “wood and stone” to the town of Schwarzenberg. An eight-member jury of experts will then select the works for the art exhibition at Schwarzenberg Castle and in the town area based on the anonymized application documents.
By awarding the 11th Schwarzenberg Art Prize art-figura, the town of Schwarzenberg aims to promote, integrate and motivate artists. The art prize is intended to draw attention to the art of sculpture and reflect its preservation in new forms of expression. The use of wood, stone and metal, which are closely associated with the Ore Mountains and their development, is intended to make reference to regional traditions.
