The Kunstverein zu Rostock e.V. announces annual residency scholarships for visual artists for the period from January to September. The Rostock scholarship holders are selected from the applications by a jury of experts. They receive a monthly grant of 1,500 euros as well as the opportunity to use the studio apartment in the Schleswig-Holstein-Haus Rostock.
The call for applications for 2027 is for the visual arts genre (painting, graphics, sculpture, photography, illustration, performance and video art).
The RostockStipendium is advertised for a period of two to four months.
Applications must be postmarked by 31 July 2026.
A decision will be announced in mid-September 2026.
Due to the generous space available in the studio apartment, we particularly invite artists with child(ren) or artist groups to apply. However, the amount of money available as part of the scholarship does not increase for artist groups.
