Open studios in Saxony-Anhalt

We cordially invite all artists and designers in Saxony-Anhalt to apply for the “Open Studios in Saxony-Anhalt” event. As always, on the third weekend in September, people interested in art will have the opportunity to look over your shoulder as you work. The event, which has been held every year since 1996, is becoming increasingly popular. It is particularly attractive for visitors when several studios are open in the same place or in the same district. Please take a look at the programs from previous years or contact us if you would like to get in touch with potential participants in your area. It is also interesting for visitors when several doors are open in studio communities or studio houses.
Please note that participation per artist is €40 for the weekend (reduced price for BBK members: €25). We are pleased that we can keep the fees constant again this year. This is possible because we receive financial support from the Gerstaecker Fund for Culture and the Lions Club Halle an der Saale. Nevertheless, the project is not fully financed. This year, for the first time, we are therefore calling on you to make an additional contribution if you can. A high number of participants also helps to support the project. Unfortunately, there have been repeated cases of free-riding in recent years, with non-regular participants jeopardizing the project through their behaviour. We therefore call on as many artists as possible to show solidarity with their colleagues and apply regularly.
The event takes place on two consecutive days. The opening hours (11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days) are therefore binding. This gives interested visitors the opportunity to visit several studios in one weekend, even at different locations.
By submitting their application, applicants accept the conditions of participation. Legal recourse is excluded.
