In 1987, at the age of 15, Marcus-Andreas Mohr was arrested in the GDR and held for eight weeks in a pretrial detention center in Halle (Saale). This experience continues to shape his thinking about freedom, power, and self-assertion to this day. In his book, texts and photographs merge into an intense dialogue between language and image.
