“urbs animalis” The city as a habitat for animals and humans. Call for artists to participate in the exhibition.
Addressing current and socially relevant issues relating to man’s interaction with nature has been one of the main features of the thematic exhibitions at the Walkmühle artists’ association in Wiesbaden since 2010.
From August 20 to November 15, 2026, the Walkmühle artists’ association will host an exhibition on the coexistence and multifaceted relationships between animals and humans in urban spaces. On this occasion, the artists’ association is organizing a call for participation in the exhibition for all interested artists.
Exhibition curators:
The exhibition is curated by the artists and curators Christiane Erdmann and Verena Schmidt, who have already realized several exhibition projects for the Walkmühle artists’ association in recent years.
Information on the exhibition venue:
Exhibition space of around 460 square meters is available for the entire event at the Walkmühle Wiesbaden. The space also allows installations to be presented in acoustically and visually independent environments. Outdoor areas can also be included after consultation.
