Through the program übenübenüben³, the Montag Foundation for Art and Society and the Mönchengladbach Municipal Cultural Office support participatory, context-based, interdisciplinary art. The artistic practice mentoring program is based at the Maria-Lenssen-Areal in Mönchengladbach Rheydt. In the residence there, two living and studio spaces are made available on an annual rotating basis to artists working in a participatory manner made available across all sectors. Together with local residents As part of the residency, the artists are expected to develop, carry out, and publicly present an artistic project. A central component is the exploration and further development of their own participatory artistic practice within the framework of a mentoring program.
