La Nueva Fábrica (LNF) is a nonprofit contemporary art space in Antigua, Guatemala. Founded in a former textile factory, LNF is dedicated to fostering experimentation, critical dialogue, and community engagement through exhibitions, public programs, residencies, and education.

Founded in 2013, the residency program is the heart of LNF. We welcome emerging and established artists, curators, and cultural practitioners from Guatemala and around the world.

The residency is:

  • Research-based, not production-driven: there is no requirement to produce a final piece of work.
  • Open to artists at all stages of their careers and working in all artistic mediums.
  • A space to reflect, research, share, and connect across practices and communities.
  • Designed to foster engagement with our local community: residents are encouraged to participate in LNF’s public programs, open studios, and community events.

Each year, LNF selects five residents through its international open call.

Application deadline: October 18, 2026
