ETTIJAHAT – ZAD MILES FOR CONNECTION

Many Arab artists have migrated to Europe in recent years, facing challenges such as isolation, a lack of opportunities, language barriers, and unfamiliar production processes. Zad helps artists overcome these obstacles, ensuring that their voices remain part of cultural conversations in their new homes. The program aims to connect Arab artists in Europe with new audiences and creative spaces. It helps them advance their careers by collaborating with peers and presenting their work on diverse artistic platforms, making it easier for artists to participate in festivals, exhibitions, performances, and other artistic events, and ensuring their work reaches wider audiences across Europe.

All artists from the Arab region, regardless of their ethnic background, who have moved to Europe since 2015, are eligible to apply to the program.

The program provides support for travel, lodging, and daily expenses—including those for children or partners—as well as shipping costs for artwork and production materials, and translation services for artwork and live events.
