The Künstlerhaus Edenkoben awards up to seven scholarships for authors/translators and two scholarships for visual arts each year. There are four apartments and a studio in the house – all apartments are fully furnished and have an internet connection. The scholarship holders receive a monthly allowance of 1,400 euros. In addition, the costs of travel to and from the scholarship holder’s home are reimbursed. The Edenkoben scholarships are generally only valid for one person and are attendance scholarships; a continuous stay is therefore obligatory.

All scholarships are publicly advertised.
There is no legal entitlement to the award of a scholarship.
The decision on the award of the scholarship will not be justified in writing to the applicants, but they will be notified in writing.
Rejected applicants may not reapply the following year. After three unsuccessful applications for an Edenkoben scholarship, a further application is unfortunately no longer possible.
Selection procedure
The decision to award the scholarships is made by an expert jury of the advisory board, taking particular account of the development potential of the artistic work.
