From the press release issued by the Saxony-Anhalt State Art Foundation:

On June 17, 2026, the Board of Trustees of the Saxony-Anhalt Art Foundation approved grants for 37 artists and art projects. The grants will benefit artists and projects from across the state—from both urban and rural areas of Saxony-Anhalt. A total of 379,194.30 euros will be made available.

During the call for proposals for the second half of 2025, the Art Foundation received 142 grant applications. The key criteria for receiving support are the originality and feasibility of the proposed projects, as well as their benefit to the cultural landscape of Saxony-Anhalt.

The Saxony-Anhalt Art Foundation announces scholarships and grants annually to provide targeted and sustainable support for the arts and culture in Saxony-Anhalt. The Art Foundation receives funding for these support measures from the Kloster Bergeschen Foundation, among others, under a funding agreement.

“Art and culture thrive on ideas, courage, and the will to create. The grants approved today give artists the opportunity to bring their projects to life and open up new perspectives. In doing so, the Saxony-Anhalt Art Foundation not only strengthens our state’s cultural diversity but also its creative influence.” – Rainer Robra, Chair of the Art Foundation’s Board of Trustees and Minister of Culture for Saxony-Anhalt

New applications for the Summer/Fall 2027 funding period may be submitted through the application portal by November 9, 2026.
