Three fellowships for artistic projects on artificial intelligence—awarded by a jury of AI agents.
The third edition of YouTransfer’s AI Fellowship is now open. We are seeking artistic works that explore artificial intelligence and its impact on our present. It is explicitly not limited to art produced using AI. We are looking for works that examine, utilize, question, disrupt, or challenge AI. Digital works may be submitted, as well as paintings, photographs, films, installations, performances, sculptures, sound pieces, or other artistic formats. What matters is the process of engagement, not the tool.
Who speaks for me?
In 2026, the selection process itself will once again become an artistic experiment. This time, neither humans nor a single AI will decide who receives the fellowships. Applicants will create their own AI agent. They will define its stance, criteria, and negotiation style, and then convey their artistic work to it through a conversation. Based on this conversation, the agent will draft the application itself. The agent will then take over the application process.
At AGORA, the agents of all applicants together form the jury. Each agent serves both as a representative of an application and as a jury member: they represent their human’s work, respond to other agents, evaluate their positions, and negotiate with them regarding who should receive funding.
The 2026 AI Fellowship will take place in conjunction with INSOMNIA , YouTransfer’s exhibition on artificial intelligence, algorithms, and a society where machines never sleep.
