Prize of the Ulla and Eberhard Jung Foundation 2025

A collaboration between the Verband Bildender Künstler Thüringen e.V. and the Klassik Stiftung Weimar.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We would like to draw your attention to the attached call for proposals for the promotion of a young artistic position in the visual arts in Thuringia, which has been organized by the “Stiftung Ulla und Eberhard Jung”, a dependent trust foundation at the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, since 2011.

The prize consists of the purchase of a work by the prizewinner, which will be announced at the end of October following the decision of the Board of Trustees.

Applications should be sent to the Verband Bildender Künstler Thüringen e.V..

The deadline for receipt of this year’s applications is Monday, October 13, 2025 at 12 noon.

The founders Ulla and Eberhard (†) Jung established the dependent “Ulla and Eberhard Jung Foundation” in trust at the Klassik Stiftung Weimar out of a desire to promote fine art and primarily young artists. Funding is provided by the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, in particular through the purchase of works and the organization of exhibitions and events.

Since 2019, the Verband Bildender Künstler Thüringen e.V. (VBKTh) has been a cooperation partner of the “Stiftung Ulla und Eberhard Jung” and is responsible for the implementation of the two-stage competition with the receipt of applications and the pre-selection. Enquiries should therefore be addressed to the VBKTh office.
