Together with Kreativwirtschaft Sachsen-Anhalt e.V. and the Landeszentrum Freies Theater Sachsen-Anhalt e.V., we are hosting an election forum featuring a panel discussion on the election benchmarks we sent to the political parties. We’ll engage in direct dialogue and ask questions in person. We invite you to join us: Come to Halle (Saale) on August 22, 2026, and prepare to make your decision for the next 5 years in #Saxony-Anhalt—to cast your votes in the state election on September 6, 2026.
But that’s not all: Use your voice and your questions to make cultural policy a key issue in the state election! Don’t just be the subject of political debates—be a part of them yourself! After all, cultural and creative professionals help shape Saxony-Anhalt every day—through art, design, theater, film, music, communication, ideas, and new perspectives. They create jobs, revitalize cities and rural areas, spark debates, and highlight social diversity.
At the election forum, we’ll bring our questions to the stage: How exactly do the parties plan to improve the conditions under which we work after the state election? How will they safeguard freedom of art and freedom of expression? What do they plan to do about precarious incomes, bureaucracy, and a lack of spaces? What are their positions on fair compensation, cultural funding, self-employment, social security, and the visibility of creative work?
The following party representatives are in attendance:
- Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance: Claudia Wittig (lead candidate) and Rudenz Schramm (spokesperson for cultural policy)
- Alliance 90/The Greens: Wolfgang Aldag (Halle (Saale) congressional district, spokesperson on cultural policy)
- CDU: Claudia Schmidt (Halle (Saale) congressional district)
- The Left: Stefan Gebhardt (Lutherstadt Eisleben constituency, spokesperson on cultural policy)
- FDP: Annett Krake (Halle (Saale) congressional district)
- SPD: Dr. Armin Willingmann (lead candidate)
