In internal newsletter 23/2026, we asked you to share your opinions on the provider Artfello in light of recent events. We would like to thank the three BBK members—Cornelia Weihe, Sari Prieto Peňa, and Rita Lass—who did so, and we are now summarizing their feedback for all members:
- Such gallery formats, which operate primarily online and market works worldwide, always involve a financial commitment (membership fees, service charges, shipping costs, travel expenses, etc.).
- Artfellow sometimes responds to inquiries, but not always.
- An artist was invited to a call, but no one from Artfellow showed up.
- The inquiries are not always accurately attributed to the respective artists. Sometimes works from an unrelated field are praised.
Conclusion: No criminal activity was reported to us, but one has to question Artfellow’s credibility. Incidentally, the situation seems to be very similar with the “Singulart” platform, which also wrote to the BBK because we supposedly have such a great portfolio!
