Exhibition in Berlin on October 23 – 4.12.2026
In a public call for entries, we invite international artists to submit contributions for the theme described below for a juried group exhibition in our exhibition spaces.
Nanoplastics in our brains, plastic in the Arctic. This practical, durable material is everywhere, and production volumes are on the rise. As a product of the fossil fuel industry, plastic pollutes the environment as waste and through its degradation byproducts, and it contaminates our bodies with nano- and microplastics. Recycling doesn’t work. We must reduce plastic volumes worldwide and switch to non-hazardous materials. What does this mean for people, and what can we do? Who is actively working to address this problem?
The exhibition is planned and executed in a resource-efficient manner. Artists are asked to specify the percentage of reused materials in their work. For us as a team, sustainability is not just a concept but also a practice. We are accompanying the exhibition with a dialogue-oriented program. Artists and external participants are cordially invited to contribute their own ideas for lectures, workshops, readings, or other formats.Disciplines: object, sculpture, installation, photography, painting, drawing, printmaking, video (with credits listed); sound is permitted. Performative contributions (performance, DJ set, concert, etc.) for the opening, artist talk, or closing event are expressly encouraged. Individual artists or existing artist groups may apply online with a maximum of three works.
International works: Physical works from the EU, as well as letters and videos from non-EU countries.
We provide exhibition space with equipment, a bar, advertising via email, our website, social media, online and print flyers, as well as the organization of exhibition texts, the accompanying program, and guided tours, and documentation.
We do not charge any fees for submissions, exhibitions, etc. As an independent, self-organized project space, we operate on a volunteer basis. For works sent to us, we ask that senders include return postage. Unfortunately, we do not have a budget for production, additional technical equipment, transportation, or insurance—the space is equipped with security measures. We expect good cooperation and agree on rules for collaboration(see PDF). We encourage regional artists to be present for the opening reception and the artist talk, as well as to assist with the exhibition.
