This year marks the 30th edition of the “Open Studios in Saxony-Anhalt.” Not only do art enthusiasts remain loyal to us, but there are also several artists among the participants who have been with us for all 30 years. We owe our ability to continue this popular event in 2026 not only to the participants but also to our sponsors. Donations from artists have also helped us finance this even thicker program booklet!
On the other hand, access to artistic work is denied in places where studio rents are too high or where there is a lack of suitable options in the immediate vicinity. Even though participation in the “Open Studios” is therefore unfortunately not possible for everyone—and even though some artists present their work as guests of their colleagues or in temporarily rented spaces—the studio remains the central hub of artistic production.
