Echoing the theme of “Water” developed in Wattwiller, the Fondation François Schneider is exploring the theme of “Earth” in a new competition on the grounds of the Abbaye de Pontigny in Burgundy. This theme is closely tied to the history of the site, which will be home to a new contemporary art center in the coming years. The first edition is open to sculptures and installations designed for outdoor display.
The winning works will form an initial art trail in the gardens of the Abbaye de Pontigny, running parallel to the construction phase of the Domaine des Arts et de la Terre (2026–2028).
