At the BBKarium Magdeburg, Annegrete Riebesel is presenting works in glass under the title “Glass Art with Passion.” The glass artist has been exploring the unique properties of glass for many years.
Transparency, light, reflection, and the unique material qualities of glass are at the heart of her work. Riebesel explores the possibilities of the material and combines artistic design with precision craftsmanship.
In doing so, the distinct character and beauty of the material itself become an integral part of her works. The works enter into a direct dialogue with their surroundings and with the people who encounter them in urban spaces. In this way, Riebesel exemplifies how art can connect public space with everyday urban life.
