At the BBKarium Magdeburg, Annegrete Riebesel is presenting works in glass under the title “Glass Art with Passion.” The glass artist has been exploring the unique properties of glass for many years.
“I am fascinated by glass as a material. I find it incredibly appealing to work with glass in a variety of ways. This involves dealing with the material’s unique properties: the cool smoothness of its surface, its transparency, its ability to reflect light—but also its brittleness. My aim in my artistic work is to explore these properties. The challenge lies in using them skillfully and resisting the temptation to seek a quick result.”
Dates: September 1 through October 31, 2026
