Light art festival “Fürther Glanzlichter”

Erich Malter

Since 2018, the Fürth Highlights in late autumn have conjured up a very special glow in the cloverleaf city and have long since become a shining highlight in the calendar of events. November has a very special significance for Fürth: this is the month in which the city was first mentioned in a document over 1000 years ago and also celebrates its 200-year elevation to first-class city status. November is therefore Fürth’s “birthday month” – an occasion that is celebrated anew every year with the Fürth Highlights.

Artists are invited to stage various locations in the city with their light installations and use them in an artistic way. The new edition of Glanzlichter will take place on Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 5 to 10 pm. Consistently, the predetermined themes of the event are anniversaries or commemorative days that will be celebrated in 2026. The artists are free to choose which specific anniversaries or historical moments they incorporate into their works, opening up a wide range of creative possibilities.

Closing date: June 18, 12 noon
