Exhibition “My Transformation – Drawings by Lera Karachenceva”
“This exhibition is something special for me.
In recent years, the subject of war has been a central part of my artistic work. Many of my pictures were created from the experiences and feelings surrounding the war in Ukraine. This theme remains important to me, because the war is not over yet.
At the same time, I felt that it had become difficult for me to express myself solely through pain and inner tension. For the first time, I felt the need to paint something else – something calm, beautiful and simple.
In this exhibition I show flowers, still lifes and portraits. Small moments of my life in Germany today: everyday life, friends, conversations, light, plants and quiet moments.
For me, these works are a personal transformation – a careful path back to life, beauty and inner peace.”
