Scholarship with residency at Künstlerhaus Meinersen

International call for applications for the Art Scholarship 2024/25 The municipality and joint municipality of Meinersen have set themselves the goal of promoting young contemporary art and at the same time giving the region’s cultural offering a fresh impetus. In order to promote this goal, they are offering a scholarship with a residency at the Meinersen Künstlerhaus.

The scholarship is designed for a maximum of twelve months. The scholarship period begins by arrangement on October 1, 2024.

The organization and implementation of the scholarship has been entrusted to the association Künstlerhaus Meinersen e.V.. Eligibility to participate: Applications are preferably open to graduates of art colleges up to a maximum age of 35.

Artistic focus: Simulation Services: The scholarship includes a stay in the Künstlerhaus Meinersen (living and studio space) free of rent and ancillary costs as well as monthly support of € 800. Conditions: This is a presence scholarship; the scholarship holder must live and work primarily at the Künstlerhaus for the duration of the scholarship. The works created during this period are to be made accessible to the public at the Künstlerhaus Meinersen in consultation with the board, usually during a final exhibition.

In addition, the scholarship holder undertakes to design and implement at least one contemporary art education project. The project should be related to the artist’s own work and involve the public in a suitable form (performance, public events, projects with schools, courses, etc.). Any funds required for this will be made available by the association upon request.

In addition, participation in activities and events organized by the Künstlerhaus is expected by appointment. The applicant accepts these conditions by submitting the application documents.
