Wir rufen Kunstschaffende im deutschen und europäischen Raum auf, sich für diese öffentliche Ausschreibung zu bewerben:
Für unser 6* Festival in Bayreuth, einem Open Air mit dem Schwerpunkt elektronische Live-Musik, suchen wir Skulpturen und Installationen zur Gestaltung unseres Festival-Geländes.

Was wir wollen:
Wir suchen Installationen, Skulpturen und sonstige Kunstwerke. Das Festivalgelände der sog. Schokofabrik umfasst sowohl einen großen Außenbereich als auch Innenbereich (Skatehalle oder Clubraum), wobei der Festivalgarten mehr Platz bietet für Kunstprojekte. Der Aufbau sollte nicht länger als vier Tage dauern. Die Werke können vorher schon woanders ausgestellt und medial veröffentlicht worden sein. Auch Werke, die aktuell noch im Planungsstadium sind, kommen in Frage.
Zum Inhalt: In unserer musikalischen Ausrichtung werden wir die ganze Bandbreite der elektronischen Musik und Klangkunst zeigen: experimentelle Performances, audio-visuelle Shows, Live-Bands und DJ-Sets. Ein Fokus wird dabei in diesem Jahr auf Bass-Musik liegen und den Genres Dub, Dubstep, Deconstructed Club und Drum & Bass. Damit präsentieren wir neue Wegen des Klangs und seine räumliche Wirkung.
All dies kann, muss aber nicht, in den eingereichten Werken behandelt werden.
Entscheidend sind die künstlerische Qualität und die handwerkliche Umsetzung.
Was wir bieten:
Wir zahlen eine Gage von 250 € und haben ein Budget für Transportkosten. Zusätzlich erhalten die Künstler*innen freien Eintritt zum Festival, Catering während des Aufbaus und Abbaus, Versicherung während des Festivals und bei Bedarf kümmern wir uns um eine Unterkunft. Alle Kunstschaffenden und ihre Werke werden auf der Webseite und Social Media präsentiert.
Wer ist qualifiziert:
Alle Menschen ab 18 Jahren, die in Deutschland eine Rechnung schreiben können. Die Transportkosten müssen belegt werden, für die Gage muss zwingend eine Rechnung mit Steuernummer (inkl. Mwst. oder Umsatzsteuerbefreiung) eingereicht werden. Privatrechnungen sind nicht zulässig. Wir können aus Kapazitätsgründen nicht bei der Beschaffung von Visa behilflich sein.
Ein Kunststudium ist nicht zwangsläufig erforderlich.
Transport, Aufbau und Abbau müssen eigenständig organisiert werden.

Wenn etwas fehlt oder die formale Präsentation nicht perfekt ist, macht das nichts! Wichtig ist, dass wir einen Eindruck von Werk und Person bekommen.

Am 13. und 14. Juni 2025 findet das 6* Festival auf dem Gelände der Schokofabrik statt. Am 12. Juni eröffnet das Festival mit einem Konzert im Kunst- und Kulturhaus NEUNEINHALB. Das 6* Festival setzt dabei auf ein kreatives Gesamtkonzept, das nicht nur durch musikalische Highlights, sondern auch durch Workshops und Kunstinstallationen ein abwechslungsreiches Programm bietet.

Das 6*-Festival ist ein mehrtägiges Open-Air-Festival, das vom Veranstalter:innen-Kollektiv Saalmitte in Bayreuth durchgeführt wird. Seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 2021 hat es sich zu einem Festival für verschiedene Formen elektronischer Musik mit Schwerpunkt auf Live-Performances entwickelt und bietet eine einzigartige Mischung aus Live-Performances, DJ-Sets, Workshops, Kunst-Installationen und mehr.

Open call for art contributions to the site design at the 6* Festival, Bayreuth
We are calling for artists from Germany and Europe to apply for this public call:
For our 6* Festival in Bayreuth, an open air festival with a focus on live electronic music, we are looking for sculptures and installations to design our festival site.

What we want:
We are looking for installations, sculptures and other works of art. The festival area of the so-called Schokofabrik includes a large outdoor area as well as an indoor area (skate hall or club room), whereby the festival garden offers more space for art projects. The set-up should not take longer than four days. The works may have already been exhibited elsewhere and published in the media. Works that are still in the planning stage are also eligible.
About the content: Our musical focus will cover the entire spectrum of electronic music and sound art: experimental performances, audio-visual shows, live bands and DJ sets. One focus this year will be on bass music and the genres dub, dubstep, deconstructed club and drum & bass. We will be presenting new ways of sound and its spatial effect.
All of this can, but does not have to, be covered in the works submitted.
The decisive factors are artistic quality and craftsmanship.
What we offer:
We pay a fee of €250 and have a budget for transportation costs. In addition, the artists receive free entry to the festival, catering during set-up and dismantling, insurance during the festival and, if necessary, we will arrange accommodation. All artists and their works will be presented on the website and social media.
Who is qualified:
Anyone aged 18 or over who can write an invoice in Germany. The transportation costs must be documented, an invoice with tax number (incl. VAT or VAT exemption) must be submitted for the fee. Private invoices are not permitted. For capacity reasons, we cannot assist with the procurement of visas.
Art degrees are not necessarily required.
Transport, assembly and dismantling must be organized independently.

This sub-project of the festival is funded by the City of Bayreuth.
More about the 6*-Festival:
On June 13 and 14, 2025, the 6* Festival will take place on the grounds of the Schokofabrik. On June 12, the festival will open with a concert at the NEUNEINHALB art and culture center. The 6* Festival relies on a creative overall concept that offers a varied program not only through musical highlights, but also through workshops and art installations.

Since its foundation in 2021, it has developed into a festival for various forms of electronic music with a focus on live performances and offers a unique mix of live performances, DJ sets, workshops, art installations and more.
